From the Provider

“I grew up being inspired by science and medicine, which led me to pursue a career in women’s health. Along my journey, I volunteered as a doula and discovered midwifery and its core purpose of providing direct holistic care to women. As a midwife, I have the privilege of serving women, as well as my community. My hope is to provide a personal experience for my patients, balanced with social, emotional and educational support.”

About the Provider

Shannon’s favorite part of being a nurse-midwife is working with women and the relationships she is able to build with them over time. Before joining WHA, she worked as a nurse-midwife for a nonprofit in Vancouver and at Kaiser Sunnyside in Clackamas, providing preventative wellness and reproductive health care, as well as prenatal, postpartum and perimenopausal care.

In her spare time, Shannon loves traveling, hiking, camping and yoga. She also loves spending time with her family, which consists of her husband, two young children and their family cat.
